It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

Certain people claim the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to predict.

"A chance to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

During the last week a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she later said she wished she had played through the pain.

But while she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have delayed plans to retire, this tournament is expected to be her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as leader.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
